Fox Valey Children's Chorus provides vocal training and excellence in performance of high quality choral music for children of the Fox Valley.
The chorus began in the fall of 2006, the result of a perceived need in the Fox Valley area for a children’s chorus that seriously pursues the art of choral singing and the dream of the director to fill that need.
The
Fox Valley Childrens Chorus consists of two
choirs:
Apprentice Choir
- Grade 2 - 4, girls and
boys
Concert
Choir
- Grade 5 through age 15, girls and
boys with unchanged voices
Entry into the chorus is by audition, held three times during the year.
The chorus, drawn from several area communities, works on challenging choral music and presents two concerts per season, the first Sunday in December and the last Sunday in April. They are available to sing for other events as well.
Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings at the Congregational Church of Batavia. The Apprentice Choir rehearses from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m., the Concert Choir from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The church is located at 21 S. Batavia Avenue, across the street from the Batavia Public Library.
Fox Valley Children’s Chorus, Inc. is a registered not-for-profit organization.
